The Girl Singing on the New Chainsmokers Song ‘Paris’

THE Chainsmoker today launched their new song  “Paris,” after  their much-anticipated follow-up to last year’s No. 1 smash “Closer.”

No official featured vocalist was associated with the song, the uncredited female vocals spurred fan assumption in the weeks before its  actual release with reports that they may  belong to French singer Luane or Selena Gomez

The Chainsmokers’ manager Adam Alpert however  confirmed to Billboard that the singer is Emily Warren, the singer/songwriter who co-wrote the duo’s top 10 hit “Don’t Let Me Down” and was seen  on their 2015 Tritonal collab “Until You Were Gone.”

Based in New York, Warren is an accomplished songwriter with credits for the likes of Fifth Harmony (“Them Girls Be Like”), Shawn Mendes (“Strings,” “Aftertaste,” “Air,” “Lost”) and Sean Paul(“No Lie”). She also recently featured on the latest Lost Kings single “Phone Down.”

Warren also took to Instagram today to post a snippet of “Paris” with the caption “haters will say it’s selena #itsnotselenagomez #itaintlouane #itsyagirl.”
