It seems as Mohammed Salah has not missed a beat as it only took him 19 minutes to score a beautiful inaugural goal against West Ham United resulting in Liverpool’s first victory of the season. Salah seemed to pick up right where he left off last season turning Andrew Robertson’s left-wing cross into a beautiful goal.
The Liverpool’s attacking trio was fantastic, as expected, with Firmino, Mane, and Salah all involved in at least one goal. Two goals from Sadio Mane and a Mohamed Salah strike helped Liverpool to a 4-0 win in their Premier League opener.
Liverpool fans were uncertain about Salah’s recovery from the neck injury he took in the last season UEFA final against Real Madrid caused by the hideous tackle by Sergio Ramos. Salah and the Liverpool fans have been trying to cope up since that nasty incident that caused them the UEFA title.
The Egyptian had an incredible first season at Anfield, scoring 44 goals in 52 appearances. Salah scooped the PFA, FWA and the club’s in-house Player of the Year awards last season resulting him to be a top contender for the race of the prestigious Balon’D’Or title.
Today’s result definitely indicates signs that Liverpool will be having a fantastic season ahead.
