Harsh Goenka, the brother of Sanjay Goenka who is the owner of Rising Pune Supergiants, faced negative remarks from Dhoni and Pune supporters. Later on, Goenka took a U-turn just after Dhoni made outstanding 61 against defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.
It seems like Harsh Goenka dig out a new way to become highlighted over social media. He was recently in the news for his eerie remarks over former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He tweeted, “Smith proves who’s the king of the jungle. Overshadows Dhoni totally. Captains innings. Great move to appoint him as captain”. He could have simply praised the performance of Smith rather criticizing Dhoni. Later on, when RPS lost their match against Kings XI Punjab in 4th Match of IPL on 8 April, then he uploaded screenshots of the strike-rates of RPS batsmen in this season.
In his tweet, he applauded the performance of Manoj Tiwari, Rahane, and Christian for their best strike rates.
Dhoni made unbeaten 61 runs in the 24th match of IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad which bound Goenka to take U-turn and praise Dhoni for his phenomenal performance.
On 29th April, when Pune defeated Bangalore by 61 runs, then Goenka praised the players of Pune by calling them Baahubalis of Rising Pune Supergiants.
In the 41st match of IPL, Rising Pune Supergiants thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in their home ground. Rahul Tripathi showed extraordinary performance on the field by scoring 93 runs from 52 balls. With this reference, Goenka posted several tweets regarding this victory.
