IPL 10 RCB vs DD match was played at home-ground of RCB i.e. M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. RCB won the toss and opted to bat first. In this second match of RCB, the challengers registered their first win by 15 runs against Delhi Daredevils.
Chris Gayle (6) and Shane Watson (24)’s partnership didn’t go well this moment as Gayle was dismissed at a nominal score of 6 hitting only a four. Watson and Mandeep Singh (12) elevated the score upto a small interval. After dismissal of Mandeep, Kedar Jadhav’s tremendous 69 from 37 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes helped RCB to frame bigger target. Then, Stuart Binny (16), Vinod (9), Pawan Negi (10), Iqbal (5) contributed to team to reach towards total of 157 runs by losing 8 wickets.
Chris Morris took maximum of 3 wickets from Delhi side. Zaheer got 2 wickets while Cummins and Nadeem received 1 wicket each. Morris proved to be most economical bowler by giving only 21 runs in 4 overs.
Aditya Tare (18) and Sam Billings (25) led the opening partnership of 33 runs after which Aditya lost his wicket to Mills. Soon after, Karun Nair (4) also lost his wicket hitting a four only. Sam Billings made a remarkable contribution of 25 runs along with Sanju Samson (13) and Rishabh Pant (57).
Rishabh Pant hit 57 runs from 36 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes. The team went under pressure when Pant lost his wicket. Morris (4), Carlos (1), Cummins (6), Amit Mishra (8) could not make a good contribution at the end to bring this match in favor of DD. The entire team could score 142 runs by losing 9 wickets.
Bowling side of RCB was really aggressive because of which DD’s batsmen went under pressure after 15th over. Billy Stanlake, Iqbal, Pawan Negi took 2 wickets each. While Chahal, Tymal, Shane Watson took 1 wicket each. Pawan Negi proved himself to be most economical bowler by conceding 3 runs only in 1 over and getting 2 wickets also.
