India Soon To Have It’s Own Time Square In Bangalore!

Bengaluru Square is soon to have in India at the Brigade – Residency road junction in Bengaluru. Which is soon to have converted to a prominent tourists destination.

The Bruhat  Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP) which is a fourth largest municipal corporation of India has announced that.

“We want the city to have a Bengaluru Square similar to Times Square. We are planning it at the entrance of Brigade Road. Bengaluru is fast becoming a global city and there should be something to celebrate that”.

Why Bengaluru should have Time Square

Bengaluru is a fast-growing economy and is also referred as Silicon Valley of India. Furthermore, the city Bengaluru is center of IT Industry and educational hubs like Indian Institute of Management (IIMB), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Therefore it’s become necessary that there should be something where we can celebrate and enjoy its glory.

The Karnataka Government has taken the right decisions. They will transform the intersection of Residency Road and Brigade Road into Bengaluru Square on the line of New York City’s Time Square. This intersection has it’s own importance as Brigade Road is the busiest shopping areas of Bengaluru.Therefore it should get landmark as Bengaluru Square. The official efforts will make the street a world famous tourist destination. The Bengaluru Square will have all the facility as the New York’s Time Square.

The government conveys that there will be electronic billboards for the purpose advertising the products. These electronic billboards and other lighting facilities will also provide income to the building owners. However, the government attempts will do good to the city but there are many challenges that the government would have to face. Some are like the traffic of Bengaluru which is playing havoc with citizens. The government would have to come out of these restrictions to develop Bangaluru Square.
