The risk of heart diseases is much lower in women who regularly eat fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids. This is evidenced by the results of a recent Danish study.

The study involved women aged 15 to 49 years. It turned out that those representatives of the weaker sex who eat fish rarely or never eat it, are twice as likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases than those who regularly eat fish.

In general, the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases for women who rarely eat fish is 90% higher than for women who consume fish once a week.

Most of the women interviewed who regularly include fish in the diet were told that they prefer salmon, cod, herring, and mackerel, which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

To feel the positive effect of fish consumption, include it on the menu at least twice a week.

Eating two servings of broccoli a week reduces the risk of bladder cancer by 44%. American scientists have discovered that some substances contained in broccoli block the growth and multiplication of tumor cells.

Researchers from the University of Ohio were treating laboratory cultures of bladder cancer cells with broccoli-containing compounds. As a result, cells division stopped.
